FTC disclosure

Affiliate disclosure

Spring & Dial earns a commission on qualifying purchases made through links on this site. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This costs you nothing extra and it is how the site is funded.

What an affiliate link is

When you click a buy button here you pass through a redirect on our own domain (a /go link) and arrive at the retailer with a tracking tag attached. If you then buy something, the retailer pays us a percentage. The price you pay is identical to what it would be if you had navigated there yourself.

Our Amazon Associates tag is t5watches-20. Every earning link on this site carries rel="sponsored nofollow", which is what Google’s link policy requires of monetized links, and every buy CTA is labeled #ad with a link back to this page.

Which merchants we earn from

Amazon, and currently only Amazon. Where a page links to a manufacturer’s own site or to a specialist retailer, we earn nothing from that link and it is not tagged.

If we join another affiliate program, links to that merchant will start earning and this page will say so before they do. We do not wire tracking for a program we have not joined.

How our prices work

Prices come from Amazon’s product data API and are refreshed on a schedule. Every price displayed carries the date it was verified — currently Jul 24, 2026.

There is a hard gate in the code: any price older than 48 hours is not displayed. The button falls back to “Check price” and no figure appears at all. We would rather show you nothing than a number that has gone stale, and no price is ever hardcoded into a page.

Prices move. The figure on the retailer’s own page at the moment you buy is the one that counts, and it is the one you should check.

Commission does not influence what we recommend

This is the claim every affiliate site makes, so here is how you can check ours rather than taking it on trust:

  • Every selection criterion is written down on the methodology page, in the order it is applied
  • Every criterion is a published specification — case dimensions, crystal material, water rating, movement features — not an opinion
  • Every pick carries a stated reason to skip it
  • The full spec table is on the same page as the ranking, so a watch ranked above a better-specified cheaper one would show it

We also accept no paid placements, no sponsored rankings, and no free product in exchange for coverage. If that ever changes it will be disclosed on the editorial policy page before it happens, not afterwards.

What we do not claim

We have not handled, worn, timed or measured any watch on this site, and no page here says otherwise. There are no testimonials, no user reviews and no star ratings on this site, because we have none that are real. Our editorial scores are compiled from published specifications and appear as page content only — never as review or rating markup in our structured data.
